When You Feel Weak
by Teresa Seputis

Little one, you are not nearly as weak as it feels like you are. Don't
you know that I walk with you and I strengthen you? My Holy Spirit
resides inside of you, and through His indwelling presence, you can do
all things.

Dear one, at times you feel powerless and ineffective. That happens
when you put too much of yourself into the task, and do not rely
enough on Me.

Stop leaning on your own strength and allow Me to strengthen you. Stop
trusting in your own ability and begin to embrace Mine, for there is
nothing that I cannot do through you if you only submit to Me. Stop
depending on your own limited resources and tap into Mine, for Mine are
unlimited and are more than sufficient for any task that I call you to.

Dear one, when you are tired and worn out, it is OK to stop striving and
to rest in Me. The burden does not rest on your shoulders, no matter how
much it may feel like it does. Lay this heavy thing down and take up My
burden instead; for My burden is light and I am able to carry the load
for you.  You do not have to do it all on your own. In fact, you should
not even try that, for you cannot succeed apart from Me.

Come to Me and rest in Me, for I am your source and your inspiration.
I will revive you when you run to Me, and as you bask in My presence,
you will be strengthened and fortified. I will revive you. I will
breathe the abundance of My life into, and I will restore the vision
that I have given you. I will set you back in your destiny and make you
successful in walking it out.

Dear one, if your load feels too heavy, that means you are carrying more
than I intended for you to carry. It is time to lay it down at My feet
and allow Me to sort through it with you. I will remove the many things
that you do not need to carry, for they only wear you down and tire you
out. Let Me take these unnecessary burdens from you and allow Me to
strengthen you and fully equip you for all that I have given you to do.

Matthew 11:29-30
29Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and
humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For My
yoke is easy and my burden is light."

This World is dying, people are crying,

Lawlessness abounds, what’s the answer to the problem?

What solution can be found?

The answer to the World is Truth and Life,

Found in just one immortal Man,

The answer to God’s plan.

To save mankind from destruction,

and the fiery pits of Hell.

In His arms you’ll find the answer,

To all life’s problems and pain,

Head Of The Church And King Of Israel
by Asher Intrater
Israel

Yeshua (Jesus) is both head of the international Church and king of the nation of Israel. He is not schizophrenic. These two roles will eventually merge into one. It is difficult to grasp Yeshua as both. (- about as hard as trying to imagine Ehud Olmert as Pope, or Benedictus as prime minister of Israel)

Yet Yeshua is both, and the mystery of the kingdom of God develops out of that two-fold position. He has a dual nature, both son of God and son of David.

Romans 1:2-4
… the gospel, concerning His son, Yeshua the Messiah, who according to the flesh, was born of the seed of David, and according to the Spirit of holiness was demonstrated to be the son of God in power by the resurrection from the dead.

It is the perfect combination of His being both divine and human that we find salvation and destiny. On the one hand He is God; on the other hand He is a Jew. At least one half of that sentence is offensive to most people. Yet the dual nature of Yeshua is essential to both the gospel and the kingdom.

The title "Christ" reflects more His divinity; while "Messiah" reflects more his Davidic nature. In the gospels, Yeshua is seen more as the king of Israel; in the epistles He is seen more as the head of the Church. In the dual nature of Yeshua, we also find the mystery of the partnership and unity between Israel and the Church.

Ephesians 2:14-15; 3:3-6
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one…
So as to create in Himself one new man from the two…
How by revelation He made known to me the mystery, which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men…
That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs of the same body.

Note that the mystery of the reconciliation of Israel and the Church is IN HIM. It is not just reconciliation between us. The reconciliation of Israel and the Church is first found in our being reconciled to those two natures within Him. It is the unity of His own personality that gives us the unity between one another.

We need to receive a revelation that Yeshua is head of the Church.

Ephesians 1:19-23
According to the working of His mighty power
Which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,
Far above all principality and power and might and dominion, not only in this age but also in the world to come.
And God put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body.

First we need a revelation that Yeshua is alive and well, working and awake, doing His job at the right hand of the Father.
Secondly, we need to see that He rules over all the governments and authorities in the world.
Thirdly, His rule on earth is extended through an intermediary group of people – that invisible network of all true, born again, spirit-filled believers in the world.

Yeshua serves as head of that group, head of the Church. The Church is supposed to be the agent of His spiritual authority on the earth. We are supposed to be the intermediary body through which Yeshua rules the world.

Until you see Yeshua as head of the Church, you will never be able to see the Church as the ruling body in the world. We are the mediators of Yeshua's authority from heaven to earth.

On the other hand Yeshua is king of Israel.

John 19:19-22
Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: Yeshua of Nazareth, King of the Jews. Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city: and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews' but 'He said, "I am the King of the Jews."'"
Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."

God promised authority over the governments of this world to King David, and that David's son would be the Messiah (II Samuel 7:12-16; Psalm 89:19-29; Matthew 1:1-2:12; Luke 1:31-33).

Until we see Yeshua as king of Israel, we will never be able to understand the destiny and authority of Israel. Israel's government will eventually take over the world and be the instrument of Yeshua's reign on this earth in the Millennial Kingdom.

That sounds like a contradiction. Who will rule – Israel or the Church? The answer is "both." According to Romans 11, all the different branches of "Christianity" will be grafted into Israel, and thus become part of Israel. On the other hand, "All Israel will be saved," so Israel becomes part of the Church.

The Jews are the children of Israel, while the Church is the greater "house" of Israel (Ezekiel 37:16). The Church will become part of the "commonwealth" of Israel (Ephesians 2:12). At that time His kingdom will not be divided into Israel and the Church, but the kingdom will be one and His name one (Ezekiel 37:22).

Zechariah 14:9
And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be – The Lord is one and His name one.

Christians do not know that in Jewish synagogues, three times a day, every service ends with this verse in the "Aleinu" prayer. Jews do not know that this verse refers to the nation of Israel and the international Church becoming one in Yeshua's kingdom.

WHAT KIND OF LOVE IS THIS?

What Kind of Love Is This?

Allen Hood

Harbour Light Prophetic Ministry

March 25, 2008

The Crucifixion of Jesus. This is the story that will enflame the prayer movement. If you want to intercede with fervency, meet your King here. If you stare at Him hanging on a Cross you might just find yourself suddenly emboldened in love. He came this low, He wants to hear from me and I want to discover Him there.

What kind of King do we have? Imagine the prayers of all the people throughout the ages who groaned for a Messiah. Imagine their surprise at how the events played out. Who could have known how greatly He loves mercy?  Who could have imagined that Israel’s Messiah, who came in a manger with the thunder of a thousand angel’s voices singing “Glory to God in the highest,” would die in a coronation of spit, blood, taunts, scorn, and derision? Who would have believed that His innocent flesh would be torn by Roman nails? In the dark hour of Calvary, the brutal truth unfolded. This King was born to die. John the Baptist testified in John 1:29, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” The herald from the wilderness announced, “Behold your King, the one marked for death, the One designated from birth to be slaughtered for the sins of the world.”

The story of Jesus’ death will cause you to be transformed. The Cross is more than a theological proposition. Once and for all, this event displayed the heart of God to men and made possible the nearness of men’s hearts to God. This story has caused men and women from every religious background to give way under its power. It is our privilege forever to ponder the crucifixion and the work of intercession He accomplished there.

In Jesus, two offices of priest and king were made one. The only way He could ascend into His kingly function was through the high priestly ministry of intercession, a prophetic picture of this is in Zechariah 6:11 when the Lord commanded the crown to be put on the high priest. Jesus defined His role as the King, as the Messiah, the Anointed One, through the lens of intercession and atonement. Jesus could only be crowned as King and manifested before the whole earth after He had fulfilled His intercessory function on the Cross as High Priest. In John 17, in the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus prayed His high priestly prayer. Jesus entered into a level of intercession never seen before. His spirit was troubled and sorrowful. He was looking for companionship in His hour of sorrow. He wanted friends who would partner with Him in the burden of His heart. Are you willing to meet Him there?

The Son at Calvary stands in the gap as the ultimate Intercessor of the ages. In His very person, He pleads the cause of God and the cause of humanity. In Christ, the very justice and mercy of God find solace. He is the ultimate Intercessor! There is no one like Him.

Jesus invites us to meet with Him in His own passion for justice and mercy to be displayed on earth, as it exists in heaven. Can you comprehend the privilege?  One who meets with God at love’s most sacred moment; between the sovereignty of God and the destiny of man, one finds the intercessor. There, in the great chasm between God’s blazing righteousness and man’s fallenness, an intercessor is found waiting. There, love waits and wrestles for God to be heard and man to be pitied. This is where the courageous are found, fighting for God to be adored and man to be accepted. In this holy place, one enters into the suffering heart of the Mediator, Jesus, who vindicates His Father’s glorious name and atones for all of humanity.

This is a holy place, a divine meeting where doors open to deep caverns of divine paradox, where God’s emotions lead us to groans and pleas for triumph and redemption. Blessed is the man or woman who waits here with God. Blessed is the one who enters these secret chambers in God’s heart where justice and mercy give birth to love in action. In the swirl of God’s own passions, the intercessor is beckoned to enter the place where God prays to God, where the Son asks the Father to forgive them – and the Father agrees, crushing the Son with the burden of the masses. The intercessor meets the crucified Jesus at Golgotha’s triumph and finds fullness there: God’s fullness and our acceptance into it!

As you sit in the seat called intercession, pursue this Man Jesus and let the great Intercessor teach you of Himself. To know Him, His suffering and His path to glory, is to embrace the journey of understanding the glorious honour of asking Him for the desires of His own heart and watching those passions become yours.

Glorious Father, precious Jesus, how could it be that You died for me, that you would ransom my life with Your precious blood? What kind of love pierces so deeply, stoops so low, and fights so tenaciously, even to the point of death? I am stunned and humbled by Your love. Thank you Father, show me the depths of this humble King. Thank you Jesus for showing me the paths of love and strengthening me to meet You in the deep places of Your heart, that I might pray the very prayers of Your own heart, for myself and for others.

THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY
by Chuck Missler
http://www.khouse.org/

This weekend we will celebrate Palm Sunday. This event, also known as "the Triumphal Entry," involves one of the most astonishing passages in the entire Bible. The book of Daniel, which was written centuries before the birth of Christ, predicts the exact day that Jesus would make his triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

The story behind Palm Sunday begins, not in Jerusalem in the time of Christ, but in Babylon several hundred years earlier. The prophet Daniel, who was among the Jews who were taken captive by the Babylonians, was reading in the Book of Jeremiah. He understood that the seventy years of servitude were almost over and he began to pray for his people. The Angel Gabriel interrupted Daniel's prayer and gave him a four-verse prophecy that is unquestionably the most remarkable passage in the entire Bible: Daniel 9:24-27.

The Meshiach Nagid

The first verse of the prophecy, Daniel 9:24 says: "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy Place."

This verse is essentially an overview of the entire prophecy. The idiom of a "week" of years was common in Israel. The prophecy encompasses seventy weeks, that is, seventy times seven years, or 490 years. However verse 26 indicates that there is an interval between the 69th and 70th weeks.

A very specific prediction occurs in the next verse: "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times (Daniel 9:25)."

This includes a mathematical prophecy. The Jewish (and Babylonian) calendars used a 360-day year; 69 weeks of 360-day years totals 173,880 days. In effect, Gabriel told Daniel that the interval between the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem until the presentation of the Messiah as King would be 173,880 days. The "Messiah the Prince" in the King James translation is actually the Meshiach Nagid, or "The Messiah the King."

The Countdown Begins

The commandment to restore and build Jerusalem was given by Artaxerxes Longimanus on March 14, 445 BC. (The emphasis in the verse on "the street" and "the wall" was to avoid confusion with other earlier mandates confined to rebuilding the Temple.)

But when did the Messiah present Himself as a King? During the ministry of Jesus Christ there were several occasions in which the people attempted to promote Him as king, but He carefully avoided it, saying "Mine hour is not yet come."

Then one day He meticulously arranges it. On this particular day he rode into the city of Jerusalem riding on a donkey, deliberately fulfilling a prophecy by Zechariah that the Messiah would present Himself as king in just that way: "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an donkey, and upon a colt the foal of a donkey(Zechariah 9:9)."

Whenever we might easily miss the significance of what was going on, the Pharisees come to our rescue. They felt that the overzealous crowd was blaspheming, proclaiming Jesus as the Messiah the King. However, Jesus responded by saying "I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out (Luke 19:40)."

This is the only occasion that Jesus presented Himself as King. It occurred on April 6, 32 AD. When we examine the period between March 14, 445 BC and April 6, 32 AD, and correct for leap years, we discover that it is 173,880 days exactly, to the very day!

It is amazing to realize that Jesus Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem was predicted, to the very day, hundreds of years in advance. Keep this extraordinary miracle in mind on Palm Sunday as we celebrate the coming of the Meshiach Nagid, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

This testimony was in my inbox today.  It would be extremely hard to explain away this sign and wonder from our Lord Jesus.  Betty

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8-year old daughter.
The girls were buried alive! He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE!
The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed.
The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says:- "A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister," she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by availed Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, "This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!"
Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it's clear also that He is alive! But, it's also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle. Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn't help! With Egypt at the centre of the media and education in the Middle East , you can be sure this story will spread.
Christ is still turning the world upside down! Please let this story be shared. The Lord says, "I will bless the person who puts his trust in me.

The Feasts of Israel

March 26, 2005

The seven feasts of Israel given by the Lord to Moses in Leviticus 23 comprise the most complete picture of God's plan for mankind in Scripture.

God's plan for mankind, through the ages, is Jesus, His Son, the Messiah. Therefore, in any revelation of His plan, Jesus is the always the first and the last, the beginning and the end, and the Alpha and the Omega.

" Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?' And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself." Luke 24:26-27 Jesus spoke these words to the bewildered and downtrodden two on the road to Emmaus, as we mentioned in an earlier message.

Have we understood the impact of what Jesus was actually saying in this short passage? Jesus was telling His two saddened friends that all of the books of Moses and all the Prophets foretold His birth, His life, His death, His burial, His resurrection, His ascension, His coming again to catch away the waiting bride, His second coming to rule from King David's throne in Jerusalem, and events following His reign throughout eternity!

You can find Jesus on every page of the Bible. The Scriptures reveal Jesus. In Genesis, He is the Creator; in Exodus, He's the Passover Lamb; in Leviticus, Jesus is the Lawgiver, Shiloh, of the Tribe of Judah; in Numbers, He is the Rock of Our Salvation; in Deuteronomy, He is the City of Refuge. We could go on and on through every book of the Bible. Jesus is on every page of the Word of God, for He is the Living Word!!! In Ruth, He's the Kinsman Redeemer, in Revelation, He's the Soon-Coming King…

Now, having sufficiently established the truth that the instructions which the Lord gave to Moses concerning the feasts point to Jesus, our Messiah, let's begin with Passover, the first feast. Passover, in Israel, began the festival year, and it was observed at the beginning of spring. "In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's Passover." Leviticus 23:5 Nisan is the first month of the Jewish year. During the Feast of Passover, three of the seven feasts of Israel were observed-Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Firstfruits. This will become more evident as we continue.

When the Lord commanded the feast of Passover, the children of Israel had just experienced a phenomenal picture of the meaning of Passover as they were delivered from the hand of Pharaoh after four hundred years of slavery in Egypt. In Exodus 12, the Lord gave Moses and Aaron instructions for the deliverance of the children of Israel. Pharaoh had refused to let them go, following the ten plagues which came upon Egypt because of Pharaoh's disobedience. In Scripture, Egypt is symbolic of the world system and sin, although, the Sacrifice of Jesus covers all who believe in Him and receive Him as LORD.

Moses told the men of Israel to take a lamb for each family. They were to select a young, male lamb, without blemish, four days before their deliverance from slavery. They were to examine the lamb for those four days to be absolutely positive that the lamb was perfect. (One writer observes, "Did we not examine Jesus with great care before we trusted Him for our eternal salvation?") God knows our frame.

The unspotted lamb was to be killed on the fourteenth day of the month, and some of the blood was to be put on the sides and tops of the doorposts of each family's house. Then, the lamb was to be roasted over fire, and eaten, all of it, that night. Any of the lamb that was left was to be burned. The people were to eat the lamb "with their loins girded, with their shoes on their feet, and with a staff in hand." They were to eat in haste.

Moses said to them, "It is the Lord's Passover." God said, "For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment; I am the LORD. The blood shall be for a sign to you upon the doorposts of the houses where you are, that WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, I WILL PASS OVER YOU, and no plague shall be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt." Exodus 12:1-14. Pharaoh's hardness of heart in not letting God's people go, had brought this judgment upon Egypt.

"And this day shall be to you for a memorial. You shall keep it as a feast to the LORD throughout your generations, keep it as an ordinance forever." Ex. 12:14

Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary is the fulfillment of the Feast of Passover. He is the spotless Lamb, Who was slain from the foundation of the world for all mankind, and Whose shed blood washes away all sins of those who repent of their sin and trust in Jesus' Sacrifice for them. God said, "When I see the Blood, I will pass over you." Jesus was crucified at the exact hour when the high priest killed the sacrifice lamb in the temple. The passion of Jesus for human souls of every tribe, tongue, and nation fulfilled Passover.

"How much more, then, will the blood of Christ Jesus, Who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death (sin), so that we may serve the living God!" Hebrews 9:14 The Lord sees the Blood on the lintels and doorposts of our hearts, and He passes over us in time of judgment, because Jesus bore our judgment for us. "And His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace." Revelation 1:15 Jesus walked through the fires of eternal judgment when He was in the heart of the earth for three days. In the Feast of Passover, the lamb had to be roasted over fire and all of it eaten. What a Savior we have! How marvelous He is! All glory, laud , and honor belong to Him!

Jesus was celebrating Passover with His disciples the night before His crucifixion. "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, 'Take, eat; this is my body. And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, 'Drink ye all of it; for this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.'" Matthew 26:26-28

Within a few hours, He would be the Passover Lamb. His Blood was the only blood that could wash away sin, because It was spotless. His Body was the only Sacrifice that could heal diseases, because It was unblemished by sin.

In the Father's great wisdom and divine plan, the Feast of Unleavened Bread was celebrated, beginning on the day following Passover. Unleavened Bread was celebrated for a week, foreshadowing our walk with the Lord in holiness, without leaven. Lev. 23:6 Jesus' burial in linen cloths was the fulfillment of Unleavened Bread. The unleavened bread, which was used in this feast, is an excellent picture of Jesus in His atoning death. The bread was pierced, striped, and had no leaven, which is symbolic of sin. Jesus' side was pierced by the Roman soldier's spear, His back was striped when He was beaten with the whips interwoven with metal and bone, and He was without fault or sin.

The ceremony of the Feast of Unleavened Bread was celebrated with three loaves of unleavened bread, a picture of the Trinity. The three loaves were placed into a special white linen envelope with three compartments. One writer points out that the loaves, resemble matzoh bread, which is striped, pierced, and without leaven. The middle loaf was broken and was placed in another linen cloth and hidden away, or buried. It is not difficult to see the parallel of the burial of Jesus, the Bread of Heaven, in white linen grave clothes, as recorded in the gospels.

Jesus is the Bread of Life (John 6:35), He was born in Bethlehem, the "House of Bread," and He spoke of Himself by saying, "If a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit." John 12:24 After Adam's sin, Jesus didn't have any spiritual brothers or sisters. He willingly went to the cross, according to the will of the Father, "that He might be the firstborn among many brothers (and sisters)." Romans 8:29 Sin had separated mankind from God, and the Blood of Jesus was the only spotless blood that could pay for sin, so that the Father would have His family back. How He loved the Father! He knew His Father would not leave Him in destruction, (Acts 2:25-28), but would raise Him up on the third day.

The third day brings us to the Feast of Firstfruits. In celebration of Firstfruits, the people were to bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain they harvested. Lev. 26:10 Firstfruits speaks so clearly of the Resurrection of Jesus on the third day. He was the firstborn of many. There is a second born, third born, and so on, into the millions and billions, which includes you and me. Jesus fulfilled the Feast of Firstfruits in His Resurrection. Because He lives, we also live.

We have seen that Jesus fulfilled the first three feasts of Israel in His death, burial, and resurrection. Remember, He told the two on the road to Emmaus that the five books of Moses and the prophets of Israel spoke of Himself. Jesus is God's Plan for the ages, and the feasts contain that Wonderful Plan.

The fourth feast is Pentecost, or the Feast of Weeks, exactly fifty days after Firstfruits. Jesus fulfilled this feast on the Day of Pentecost after His ascension into heaven. John the Baptist, at the beginning of his ministry, prophesied that, "One will come after me, Who is more powerful than I, Whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." Matthew 3:11 Scripture tells us in Acts 2, that the Holy Spirit was sent on the Day of Pentecost, ten days after Jesus went to the Father.

Of the seven feasts of Israel, Jesus has fulfilled the first four. In keeping with God's Plan, Jesus, Yeshua, will fulfill Trumpets, on the day of His return for His bride, known also as the "catching away," the harpadzo, (Greek), and the rapture of the waiting saints.  In like manner, He will fulfill the Day of Atonement at His Second Coming, seven years following the catching away, when "ten thousands of His saints return to earth for His Millennial Reign during which He will reign from King David's throne in Jerusalem. The Day of Atonement is the day when every Jewish person will see with the heart that Yeshua is Messiah, and a nation shall be born in a day.  Isaiah 66

Tabernacles, the last of the prescribed feasts, will be fulfilled throughout eternity as Yeshua, Father, and Holy Spirit, tabernacle with the redeemed of the earth, redeemed by the Blood of the Passover Lamb, Jesus.  There will be no more crying, sorrow, or tears, because God will wipe away all tears from the eyes of His beloved bride, and we will enjoy eternal peace, joy, and love, where the Presence of the Lord is forever!

We keep coming back to this very important point: Moses and all the prophets spoke of the things concerning Himself, Jesus, Yeshua. Jesus is the Father's Plan and Pattern, and His Plan is from Genesis to Revelation.  You can find Him on every page of the Holy Bible if you look for Him.  Our Abba Father is full of wisdom, grace, and power!

Shalom and abundant blessings,

Blog EntryAll Power! Jan 12, '08 10:32 AM
for everyone

by Shirley Weaver

The strength of anything is measured by its foundation. The height of a structure is determined by the depth and strength of the foundation below. The quality of manufactured goods depends upon the research and skill of design invested. The measure of a man depends totally upon the foundation of the spiritual character of his physical and intellectual strength.

So, don’t confuse the issue: Jesus came in the power of the Almighty God – a power level greater than any earthly power. The foundational measure of His power is God – all power! If we confuse the issue, thinking this Man is meek and mild, hesitant and soft-spoken, we never possess the disciples’ mandate: He calls disciples and gives them power and authority over all demons and diseases (Lu 9:1). Jesus is not just a higher power, He is the highest power and He disciples (teaches) and then apostles (sends) us with His power to raise men from the death of their condition, to Life!

Amen.

A Signal That Jesus' Return Is Near by Rick Renner

Now we beseech you, brethren,
by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering together unto him.

— 2 Thessalonians 2:1

When Paul wrote his second letter to the church of Thessalonica, he was exceedingly excited at the thought of Jesus' soon return. In fact, he was so thrilled about the prospect of Jesus' coming again that he devoted the entire second chapter of Second Thessalonians to the events that would occur in the last days. As Paul wrote this famous chapter about the events of the last days, he began by declaring, "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him."

Notice that Paul uses the word "beseech" in this verse. Normally the word "beseech" would be the Greek word parakaleo, but in this verse, Paul uses the word erotao rather than the word parakaleo. The word erotao means to ask or to make a strong request. This word calls upon the listener to cautiously listen to what is being said and to respond in a fitting manner to what has been heard. Because Paul is speaking of the coming of the Lord and uses the word erotao to appeal to his listeners, he clearly means for them to take his words seriously and to let these words make a strong impact in their lives.

When we think about the coming of the Lord, it should make a strong impact in our lives. It should affect the way we live, the way we think, the way we carry on in our relationships, and the way we invest our money into the Kingdom of God. It is simply a fact that Jesus is coming for His Church, and we should constantly live in the light of His coming. When we live with the awareness that Jesus is coming again, it changes our conduct and behavior. By using the word erotao ("beseech"), Paul is communicating to his readers that they have a responsibility to respond to his message about Jesus' soon return. They are to live in a godly, upright, and holy manner as they wait for "the coming of our Lord."

Then he begins to speak to them about the "coming of our Lord." The word "coming" is from the Greek word parousia. This word always places special emphasis on the Presence of the Lord — especially the Presence of God that can be tangibly felt among His people. Here it is used to describe the strong Presence of God that will be felt when Jesus returns to gather His people to Himself. The word implies that the Church will feel a phenomenal divine Presence when it is time for Jesus to gather His people to Himself at the end of the age.

This means that as we come closer to the return of Jesus, the parousia— the strong Presence of the Lord — will be strongly sensed among believers. In fact, the ever-growing, strong Presence of the Lord in the midst of the Church will be one of the signals that Jesus' return is close at hand. As His Presence gets stronger and stronger, we will know it is time for Him to return to "gather" us to Himself.

When Paul speaks about "our gathering together unto Him," the phrase "gathering together" comes from the Greek word episunagoge. This word is used perfectly... where it refers to that moment in the future when God will finally gather His people together to Himself. This is exactly how Paul uses it in Second Thessalonians 2:1 as he talks about that moment when God will finally gather His people together to Himself at the coming of Jesus.

In Second Thessalonians 2:1, Paul uses the word episunagoge ("gathering together") to describe that future moment when the Lord will quickly gather or collect His people together to Himself at the end of the age. At that divine moment, all of God's people will be quickly gathered together and collected in a common assembly to meet the Lord in the air. What a meeting that will be!

Considering the Greek words that Paul used in Second Thessalonians 2:1, this verse could be interpreted the following way:

"Brothers, I make this urgent, heartfelt request to you today, earnestly and sincerely pleading with you from the bottom of my heart to hear what I'm telling you and to do exactly as I say. The appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ is very near. In fact, it is so close that we can almost feel His Presence as if He were already here among us. The moment we have all longed for and waited for is almost upon us! I'm talking about that moment when Jesus will finally gather us together to Himself."

The apostle Peter warned us that at the end of the age, many scoffers would mock at the promise of Jesus' return, asserting that if Jesus was going to come, surely He would have already come. Peter wrote, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming?" (2 Peter 3:3,4).

The word "scoffers" is from the Greek word empaidzo, and it described one who makes fun of another through mockery. It conveyed the idea of disdain, scorn, derision, and ridicule. The Greek word empaidzo also meant to play a game. It was often used for playing a game with children or for amusing a crowd by impersonating someone in a silly and exaggerated way. For instance, this word might be used in a game of charades when someone intends to comically portray someone or even make fun of someone.

We find this word used in Luke 22:63, where the Bible tells us, "And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him." The Greek word empaidzo categorically lets us know that these men turned a few minutes of that nightmarish night before Jesus' crucifixion into a stage of comedy at His expense. They put on quite a show, hamming it up as they almost certainly pretended to be Jesus and the people He ministered to. Perhaps they laid hands on each other as if they were healing the sick; or lay on the floor and quivered, as if they were being liberated from devils; or wobbled around, acting as if they had been blind but now could suddenly see. Whatever these leaders did to mock Jesus, it was a game of charades to mimic and make fun of Him.

Now Peter uses this same word to depict mockers in the last days who would make fun of those who believe in Jesus' coming. I can almost hear them saying, "Come on, if Jesus was going to come, don't you think He would have been here by now? Quit hanging on to this false hope, you dreamers!"

But the grammar used in Second Peter 3:3,4 tells us that this mocking is the characteristic behavior of these scoffers. It could be more accurately translated, "Mockers will come mocking." In other words, they don't only mock on occasion; they are mockers by habit. They find great delight in regularly mocking and making fun of those who believe that Jesus is coming to gather His Church to Himself.

But regardless of what doubt-filled believers or antagonistic unbelievers say as they mock us, the truth is that Jesus is coming again soon! Second Thessalonians 2:1 gives us one of the signs that will occur to let us know His arrival is upon us: We will suddenly be aware of the supernatural Presence of Jesus in the Church like never before. The closer we come to the time of His return, the more strongly this phenomenal Presence of God will be felt in our midst. In fact, it will seem as if His coming is already upon us! That strong Presence of God will signal to us that it is just about time for Jesus to quickly gather us and collect us to Himself !

So in the days to come, close your ears to the mockers who make fun of you for believing in Jesus' soon return. Then open your heart to the Holy Spirit, and allow Him to make you sensitive to His voice inside your spirit. As you are faithful to do this, you will recognize that moment when the Presence of God becomes much stronger in the Church, and you'll know that moment for what it is — one of the greatest indications that Jesus' return is upon us!

MY PRAYER FOR TODAY

Lord, help me to be sensitive to Your Presence so I can be aware of that moment when Your coming is near to us. Help me close my ears to those mockers who say You will never come. By Your grace, I will hold tightly to Your promise that You will come one day to collect Your people to Yourself. Help me live a life that is holy - one that pleases You and for which I will not be ashamed when You suddenly appear to gather the Church to Yourself.

I pray this in Jesus' name!

for everyone
My children, at this time of year, around the earth, you celebrate the coming of the true Light of the World, My Son, born in a manger, heralded by angels, worshipped by both shepherds and wise men.  He is the only true Light, for He is of Me, My only begotten Son, Jesus, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, anointed to preach salvation from sin and deliverance to the captives of sickness, depression, and leanness of soul.  He was sent to be the Way to the Father, into the holy of holies by the cleansing of His Blood, for you.  He was sent by Me to heal the sick and the brokenhearted, to raise the dead, to cast out devils, to save all who will believe.  Keep your eyes on His true Light, else you become blinded by the god of this world.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  In Him was life and the life was the light of men.  And the light shined in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.  But as many as received Him, to them, He gave the power to become the sons and daughters of God, even to them that believe on His Name, which were born, not of (human) birth, nor of the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, but of God.”  John 1:1, 2, 4, 12, 13  “You must be born again.”  John 3:3

Do you see from My Word, how powerful this true Light is?  He has the power to save your souls and make you My very own.  You must believe on His Name, the Name of Jesus.   He came to walk in this dark and fallen world, pitched His tent beside you, lived a sinless life, suffered and died on the Cross of Calvary to save you, was buried and rose again the third day, walked on the earth forty days, was seen of over 500 men, showing Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, then, He ascended into heaven where He now sits exalted at the right hand of the Father.  You who have believed in Him and have given Him Lordship over your lives also sit in Him at the right hand of the Father by His grace.  Eph. 2:4-6  Do you see from My Word, how powerful this true Light is?  Let Him shine through your hearts to others.

Run to God

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
(1 John 1:9)

It's wonderful to know you've been set free from the law of sin and death. It's glorious to know you never again have to submit to the slavery of sin. But what do you do when, in spite of those wonderful, glorious truths, you still miss the mark? What do you do when you stumble and fall into sin?

Run to your Father and repent!

That sounds simple. But oddly enough we often do just the opposite. Instead of running to God, we let fear and guilt drive us further and further from Him. We start thinking things like, "Well, I've missed it now. I might as well forget the rest of it and live like the devil."

Don't make that mistake. Don't let Satan talk you into sinning in one area of your life just because you missed it in another. When you get off track with God, just confess it and get right back on.

"But, Brother Copeland, I feel so guilty when I tell God what I've done that it's hard for me to make myself do it."

I know. I used to feel that way too. Then, one day, God said to me, "Kenneth, when you confessed that sin wasn't when I found out about it. I knew about it all the time! When you confessed it is when you got rid of it, when you were cleansed of its effects in your life."

When you make a mistake, when you miss the mark, remember, you have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous (1 John 2:1). Run to Him! He knows what you are going through. You don't need to be afraid. He didn't tear you apart for the sins you committed before you made Him Lord of your life, did He? Then how much more merciful and loving do you think He'll be now that you're His own? Now that you're reaching out for Him and have a heart for Him?

Don't run from God. Run to Him. Receive His forgiveness. Receive His cleansing. No matter how badly you've sinned, He's eager to forgive and to cleanse you of all unrighteousness.

"He shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord."
-- Micah 5:4

Christ's reign in his Church is that of a shepherd-king. He has
supremacy, but it is the superiority of a wise and tender shepherd over
his needy and loving flock; he commands and receives obedience, but it
is the willing obedience of the well-cared-for sheep, rendered joyfully
to their beloved Shepherd, whose voice they know so well. He rules by
the force of love and the energy of goodness.

His reign is practical in its character. It is said, "He shall stand
and feed." The great Head of the Church is actively engaged in
providing for his people. He does not sit down upon the throne in empty
state, or hold a sceptre without wielding it in government. No, he
stands and feeds. The expression "feed," in the original, is like an
analogous one in the Greek, which means to shepherdize, to do
everything expected of a shepherd: to guide, to watch, to preserve, to
restore, to tend, as well as to feed.

His reign is continual in its duration. It is said, "He shall stand and
feed"; not "He shall feed now and then, and leave his position"; not,
"He shall one day grant a revival, and then next day leave his Church
to barrenness." His eyes never slumber, and his hands never rest; his
heart never ceases to beat with love, and his shoulders are never weary
of carrying his people's burdens.

His reign is effectually powerful in its action; "He shall feed in the
strength of Jehovah." Wherever Christ is, there is God; and whatever
Christ does is the act of the Most High. Oh! it is a joyful truth to
consider that he who stands to-day representing the interests of his
people is very God of very God, to whom every knee shall bow. Happy are
we who belong to such a shepherd, whose humanity communes with us, and
whose divinity protects us. Let us worship and bow down before him as
the people of his pasture.

You Must Be Born Again

Charles Spurgeon

Perhaps someone here says, “I have given up drunkenness....” “Well,” says another, “I am very different from what I was twelve months ago. I am glad of it, I say again, as glad as when I read that this blind man’s eyes were opened. But, my dear friend, that is not the main point. “Do you believe in Jesus, the Son of God, and the eternal sacrifice He made for your sins?” Morality is excellent as far as it goes, but without holiness no man shall see the Lord, and holiness far exceeds mere morality. Holiness can only be produced by a real change of heart, and that real change of heart can only come through the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit which manifests itself through faith in Jesus Christ. Moral changes are commendable, and we would be the last to say a word against them; but just as silver is not gold, so morality is not holiness, and the message we have still to deliver is this, “You must be born again.” John 3:1-8

So we press the question of the text home upon the conscience of everyone here because it concerns the vital point of faith in Christ. I am convinced that this question, “Do you believe on the Son of God?” is the most important question that a man can ever have to answer; this is vitally and overwhelmingly important. “I am a Churchman,” says one. “I am a Nonconformist,” says another. “I am a Calvinist,” says one. “I am a good person,” says another. Well now, I am not going to ask you anything about your belief on any of these points, though I know what I think is the right view concerning all of them. But I can tell you that you may go to heaven or you may go to hell either as a Churchman or as a Nonconformist, as a Calvinist; but if you believe on Jesus Christ, you shall never perish, neither shall any pluck you out of His hands. It is believing in Him that is the all-important point, so I still urge each one of you to answer the question, “Do you believe, cling to, and trust Jesus, the Son of God for cleansing from your sins and for eternal salvation?”
